Fred and Lorraine Pierson and their Showhomes team provided a level of service we could only have dreamed of. Our house had been listed for 6 months before we found Showhomes without even one offer. After their staging our house was on the market for only five days when multiple offers came in from potential buyers. We feel the staging by Showhomes played a crucial role in selling our North Raleigh home so quickly.
Showhomes located Home Managers whose furniture and style coordinated in a way to accentuate the architecture of our home, and decor throughout was staged in a very professional and lovely manner. All of the rooms provided potential buyers the vision of lived-in spaces, which cannot be accomplished with bare walls and floors alone.
In addition to the fabulous staging was the support provided when there was a mechanical failure with the water heater. Showhomes helped diagnose the problem, and ultimately coordinated the replacement of the water heater with their plumber. This was a complete hands-off experience for us as sellers and something we would have had to address on our own, otherwise.
Overall, the experience using Showhomes of Raleigh was very enjoyable, and we highly recommend using their services to accelerate the sale of your home and to bring the highest sales price attainable.

Our experience with Showhomes Raleigh has been a lifesaver! We were making a major move from Minneapolis to Raleigh, NC. As I contemplated renting a 900 square foot townhouse outside the gates of Governor's Club one Friday night, I was not energized at the thought of our family living in this tight, cramped space. In addition, signing a year long lease for this arrangement was not what I had planned for our relocation from Minnesota to North Carolina. We wanted flexibility in case we found our dream home immediately. In doing some research online, I uncovered Showhomes Raleigh...what a novel idea...relocatees bringing beautiful furniture to help stage a 3500 square foot home (one of many options on the website) in exchange for showing the house for sale on the market. I called Fred and liked him immediately...he was straightforward and had several home options for us not outside the gates but inside the gates of Governor's Club. We could live in the community while deciding if it was right for our family. Showhomes Raleigh understood our situation and has been extremely supportive. We've had a beautiful home to live in and all the flexibility we needed to make our move to North Carolina smooth and wonderful. The lovely weather doesn't hurt either! When Show Homes was first recommended to us we were skeptical about what they could offer that would make a difference to the sale of our home, but , our experience with Show Homes and Fred Pierson exceeded expectations!
Like so many property owners the downturn in the housing market made the task of selling a home extremely competitive. Our home had been on the market for an extended time and we had already moved out of the home to pursue employment elsewhere.
After speaking with Fred Pierson, we were put at ease about the service Show Homes could provide. Our home was not left empty and Show Homes staged it in an attractive manner. Fred went above and beyond to answer any concerns we had; he supervised the property and ensured good curb appeal. Fred would oversee any maintenance needs, and consulted us on each aspect of the property, giving us regular updates. Our minds were put at ease that the property was being cared for - a relief since we were now considerable distance away.
More than this, Fred was mindful that the purpose of this relationship was to get the home sold! To this end, Show Homes presented the property in a way to make it show better than the competing homes - a successful strategy since we were able to sell the home after a few months of working with Fred! Show Homes service did not end with a signed contract. Fred followed through the entire selling process with us until the home closed, making himself available to assist with any items that needed tending prior to the closing. A little background: Over 3 years ago we moved out of the area and put our home up for sale. After trying unsuccessfully to sell it through the usual means (strike one), which included staging by an interior designer - but not Showhomes, we were forced to rent it for 2 years while the housing market continued to plummet. Then we decided to once again test the waters and put our home up for sale. And again, our results were dismal. Strike two.
So we searched for other creative options to help us market and sell our home. And we came upon Showhomes Raleigh! And WOW - what a difference! No strike three here, more like a grand slam! Before all the paperwork was even signed, Showhomes was on it! We were given an honest and insightful evaluation of our home, the market and the type of buyer that would purchase our home, as well as a plan to make it happen. They placed the best home manager possible with our house with the absolute perfect furniture to show off its elegance. The home manager always kept the house immaculate and show-ready, even when people called from the driveway. Showhomes was proactive was the start – they took care of the landscaping and found us excellent painters who freshened up some rooms for us. Their resources included plumbers, electricians and handymen to take care of lots of issues that were niggling to us, but important to the potential buyers. Being out-of-state, this was an enormous relief to us! When we received feedback from potential buyers, Showhomes brought issues to our attention with ways to redress the problems! When a last minute roofing issue popped up, Showhomes had a roofer working on the job within days! Even if we had been living in proximity, there was no way we could have handled matters with as much efficiency and professionalism as Showhomes! As the sale was finalized, Showhomes helped with the punch list and deep-cleaned the home so that the proud new owners could simply move in with absolutely no worries! They even stored some of our possessions for us until we could conveniently pick them up. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
